Right 4 Life brings something new to the spirit of 80s Hardcore.
Formed in Nantes in 1995 by singer Olivier Lehuby and guitarist Sébastien Fradet, they are influenced by Hardcore New Yorkers and groups like Cro-Mags, Madball, Youth of Today or even Sick of it All.
The group recorded their first demo in 1995, followed in 1996 by "Straight Hardcore '96" on the label "The Age Of Venus".
Right 4 Life released 2 tracks in 1997 on "Wee Wee Records" with the split Right 4 Life / Spoonful. In 1998 they recorded the maxi cd "Destroy Babylon" on the Belgian label "Siton rcds", a cd which will later be performed in Japan on "Straight up rcds". The group then performs a series of concerts in Spain, Belgium, Italy and Switzerland.
In 1999, after some line-up changes and the arrival of Job on drums, Right 4 Life recorded Give Us Light For Truth. This EP transcribes all the energy and develops the "conscience" of the group with lyrics that denounce individualism, general apathy and the fall of modern society. Once again the group goes on tour and performs at major festivals: Dour in Belgium, Evilfest in London, and Eurocore in the Netherlands. As well as a series of concerts with Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Madball, Snapcase, 25 Ta Life, Ensign, Dropkick Murphy's, Better Than A Thousand ...
In 2002 it was time for Right 4 Life to release their first album "Off the Beaten Track" on the label "The Age of Venus". Album which places them as leader of the European Hardcore. Very powerful, with some more melodic tracks and others more brutal and aggressive, this record recalls the old school influences of the band while defining the unique "Right 4 Life" style.
Right 4 Life then performs many partotu dates in Europe (Germany, Belgium, England, the Netherlands…) in the company of groups such as Madball, Shelter, Youth Of Today, Sick Of It All. Then toured all over Europe with Integrity then with 25 ta Life.
From April to June 2005 the group recorded 14 tracks Pride and Joy ... Have Gone Dull at the "LOKO" studio in Paris. This record, which will be released in 2006, can be described as the result of Off the Beaten Track multiplied by 10… with a heavier, harder sound.
After 1 year of concerts for the promotion of the album, Right 4 Life will make its last concert in Nantes, June 2007.

Right 4 Life apporte du nouveau à l'esprit du Hardcore des années 80.
Formé à Nantes en 1995 par le chanteur Olivier Lehuby et le guitariste Sébastien Fradet, ils sont influencés par le Hardcore New Yorkais et des groupes comme Cro-Mags, Madball, Youth of Today ou bien encore Sick of it All.
Le groupe enregistre en 1995 leur première démo, suivi en 1996 de "Straight Hardcore '96" sur le label "The Age Of Venus.
Right 4 Life sort 2 titres en 1997 sur "Wee Wee Records" avec le split Right 4 Life / Spoonful. En 1998 ils enregistrent le maxi cd "Destroy Babylon" sur le label belge "Siton rcds", cd qui sera plus tard représsé au Japon sur "Straight up rcds". Le groupe réalise ensuite une série de concerts en Espagne, Belgique, Italie et Suisse.
En 1999, après quelques changements de line-up et l'arrivée de Job à la batterie, Right 4 Life enregistre Give Us Light For Truth. Ce EP retranscrit toute l'énergie et développe la "conscience" du groupe avec des paroles qui dénoncent l'individualisme, l'apathie générale et la chute de la société moderne. Une fois encore le groupe part en tournée et joue sur les festivals majeurs : Dour en Belgique, Evilfest à Londres, et l'eurocore aux Pays-Bas. Ainsi qu'une série de concerts avec Agnostic Front, Cro-Mags, Madball, Snapcase, 25 Ta Life, Ensign, Dropkick Murphy's, Better Than A Thousand…
En 2002 vient le moment pour Right 4 Life de sortir leur premier album "Off the Beaten Track" sur le label "The Age of Venus". Album qui les place en tant que chef de rang du Hardcore européen. Très puissant, avec quelques morceaux plus mélodiques et d'autres plus brutaux et agressifs, ce disque rappelle les influences old school du groupe tout en définissant le style unique "Right 4 Life".
Right 4 Life réalise alors de nombreuses dates partotu en Europe (Allemagne, Belgique, Angleterre, Pays-Bas…) en compagnie de groupes comme Madball, Shelter, Youth Of Today, Sick Of It All. Puis tourne dans toute l'Europe avec Integrity puis avec 25 ta Life.
D'avril à juin 2005 le groupe a enregistré Pride and Joy... Have Gone Dull de 14 titres au studio "LOKO" à Paris. Ce disque, qui sortira en 2006, peut être décrit comme le résultat de Off the Beaten Track multiplié par 10… avec un son plus lourd, plus dur.<
Après 1 an de concerts pour la promotion de l'album, Right 4 Life fera son dernier concert à Nantes, juin 2007.
