TEARS OF FRUSTRATION

TEARS OF FRUSTRATION WAS STARTED IN THE SPRING OF 1995 AFTER A DISCUSSION BETWEEN JOE FALZONE AND CHRIS OʼBRIEN ABOUT STARTING A NEW BAND TOGETHER. IT STARTED AS JUST THE 2 OF THEM JAMMING IN CHRISʼS BEDROOM IN PALISADES PARK NJ WITH JOE ON GUITAR AND CHRIS ON BASS. SOON AFTER JOE COLAVITO CAME IN ON DRUMS WITH JUSTIN TORRENTO ON GUITAR. JOE FALZONE MOVED OVER TO LEAD VOCALS AND A 4 SONG DEMO WAS RECORDED IN 1995 WITH THIS LINE UP. JUSTIN TORRENTO LEFT THE BAND TO BECOME A RESPONSIBLE ADULT AND CHRIS KENT TOOK HIS PLACE ON GUITAR. SOON AFTER CHRIS OʼBRIEN LEFT THE BAND AND WAS REPLACED BY CHRIS LINDSTROM ON BASS. 7 NEW SONGS WERE RECORDED SOON AFTER. THESE SONGS GOT SPLIT UP BETWEEN A DEMO TAPE (WHICH ENDED UP GETTING RELEASED ON A 7” BY AGE OF VENUS RECORDS FROM FRANCE IN 1998) AND A 7” BY STATE OF MIND FANZINE FROM BROOKLYN, NY. EVENTUALLY CHRIS KENT WAS REPLACED BY JUSTIN ROWAND (R.I.P.) ON GUITAR. JUSTIN WAS EVENTUALLY REPLACED BY ANTHONY PELLEGRENO FROM MODEL CITIZEN NYC ON GUITAR. THE COMBINATION OF CHRIS LINDSTROM AND ANTHONY PELLEGRENO IN THE BAND REALLY GOT THE BAND SOME RECOGNITION, AS THEY WERE CONSTANTLY PUSHING THE BAND WHEN WE WERENʼT PLAYING SHOWS. AND EVEN THOUGH CHRIS OʼBRIEN WASNʼT ACTIVELY IN THE BAND ANYMORE, HE STILL PROMOTED THE BAND. THE LAST LINE UP ENDED UP RECORDING A FOLLOW UP FULL LENGTH RECORDING CALLED LOST IDENTITY WHICH GOT RELEASED BY ON THE RISE RECORDS IN 2001.
